Christopher Cid

Screenwriter

Christopher is a Chicano writer and producer born & raised in the San Gabriel Valley and currently based in Los Angeles. Their cinematic work explores belonging, identity, community, and the stories that exist beyond the center of the frame.

Their cultural identity informs the way they see the world, while genre remains their playground. Their writing moves between comedy, drama, horror, fantasy, sci-fi, and other forms, choosing the genre that best serves the question at hand. They write to explore questions they haven't yet answered, using fictional worlds to examine perspective, connection, anxiety, power, hope, and what it means to feel seen.

Background: My first exploration into episodic writing grew from the immediate isolation that occurred in 2020 when the pandemic lockdown hit. With a desire to continue to create art, I wrote a web series and cast my fellow classmates and friends to be a part of my lockdown project that was my saving grace in 2020.
